Dr Graham Couchman holds degrees from the University of Cambridge and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. A structural engineer by profession, he has extensive experience working on site, in design offices, academia, and applied research. His career has focused on advancing construction design and engineering through innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. Graham first joined The Steel Construction Institute (SCI), a leading specialist consultancy, in 1995, where he contributed to pioneering research and industry standards. After several years in other roles, he returned to SCI in 2007 as Chief Executive Officer, continuing to drive technical leadership and development.
