Entries in this category should showcase in an understandable, measurable way, how different construction materials and systems can combine to provide a final project that successfully maximises the benefits of an offsite approach. This can be structurally – externally or internally – and can also include the integration of traditional and site-based construction to deliver a successful final project design. Special emphasis will be placed on an integrated approach to the client’s needs, material performance, energy performance, programme performance, overcoming site-based issues and using circular economy principles. The project should clearly demonstrate how a hybrid mix delivers cost-predictability, economy, accuracy, transportability, speed of installation, waste minimisation and principles of lean manufacture have been achieved.
