This category will reward the outstanding use of timber technology in a project across any UK construction sector. Including cross laminated timber (CLT), glulam, timber frame, SIPS, laminated veneer lumber (LVL), associated open and closed panel systems – or innovative new systems such as nail laminated timber (NLT) – the entrant will have used timber as a major aspect in delivering a high quality, landmark building using a precision factory-controlled, sustainable offsite approach. Special attention will be given to how timber has been used throughout the project, its material performance levels, circular economy principles, use of digital technology, aesthetics and approach to wellbeing, energy efficiency and how these have been integrated with factory manufacture.
